The three most important elements of any electric guitar or bass are look, sound and feel.  Because every guitar player is different, a custom built guitar can blend the three elements to suit the players needs or desires better than any mass produced guitar.

The feel of a guitar is probably the most important element.  The most expensive, nicest looking and best sounding guitar probably won't be played much if you hate the feel of the neck or the body.  A guitar has to be comfortable to play for long periods whether you are playing for the crowd or just for yourself.  We will take the time to make sure your guitar "fits" you.

The sound is based on what type of music will be played on the guitar.  From finger picked classical music to smooth jazz to all out heavy metal, no one guitar can do it all.  We will make sure your guitar can make the sounds you want to hear.

The look of the guitar is a personal choice of the owner.  We offer exotic woods or paint schemes and many non-standard layouts to personalize your "Signature Model" guitar that a regular guitar manufacturer will not offer.

To design your own "Signature Model " custom guitar or bass, keep the following points in mind:

1. Every custom guitar or bass starts with the body shape and an idea of how you want the finished guitar to look.  We can help you get the look you want.

2. Choose the pickups based on what tone or how many different tones you need the guitar or bass to make to cover the styles of music you want to play.

3. What bridge style do you prefer.  Other options may depend on the bridge style you choose.

4. Hardware color is usually chrome, gold or black but not all hardware is available in all colors.

5. Control layout.  How many control knobs and where you want the pickup selector switch.  The pickup switch style can be dependent on the type of pickups chosen.

6. Your hand is on the neck all the time so decisions about the neck are important.  Neck wood, fretboard wood, back contour and fretboard radius all make up a neck.  Even the arrangement of the tuners can be important.

Please remember there is a minimum 120 day lead time for a custom built guitar or bass.  More time may be necessary depending on work load.

Custom body shapes will have a longer lead time and may incur additional costs.

We strive to make our guitars and basses available left or right handed with no difference in price.  Unfortunately there are limited hardware color options for left handed guitars.  SORRY LEFTIES.
